Technology development at airports is one of the company's focuses


Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) has launched the 2020-2024 period to become the market leader for airport operators in the ASEAN region (On Becoming Airport Enterprise Leader in the Region).

The company is optimistic that it can achieve this vision in line with the company's transformation that has been carried out since 2016.

"PT Angkasa Pura II runs the Transformation 1.0 program in 2016 - 2020, and then continues to Transformation 2.0 in 2020 - 2024, where on the second curve of this transformation we proclaim to become a market leader in ASEAN," explained President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin. .

In Transformation 1.0 (2016 - 2020), the company focuses on building a corporate culture which then has an impact on a number of achievements, including the greater contribution of non-aeronautical revenue (59%) in 2019 compared to aeronautics (41%). This is an indication that the company has become a modern airport manager, not only depending on aeronautical revenues.

The next achievement was the implementation of a Fully Integrated Smart Airport, as well as improving the health of organizational culture through the measurement of the Organization Culture Health Index (OCHI).

Meanwhile in the next transformation program, namely Transformation 2.0 (2020 - 2024), the company's focus is to expand the business portfolio (Multi-sided business portfolio ownership), then adopt global standard operating principles (global best practices) in airport operations and build human resources creative and innovative (innovative-based human capital).

As for every phase of transformation, be it Transformation 1.0 or Transformation 2.0, the program is carried out holistically and comprehensively touching every aspect of the company, namely Business & Portfolio, Infrastructure & Operation System, and Human Capital.

The transformation that has been carried out also adheres to the principles of consistency (consistency) and continuity.

"By implementing a structured and holistic transformation in line with comprehensive, consistent and continuity applications, currently PT Angkasa Pura II has a solid foundation to become an Airport Enterprise Leader in the Region," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

PT Angkasa Pura II's 1.0 and 2.0 transformations are also in line with the 5 priorities of the Ministry of BUMN, namely economic and social values ​​for Indonesia; Business model innovation; Technology leadership; Increased investment; and talent development.


Program 2021

Next year, on its way to become a market leader / market leader in ASEAN, PT Angkasa Pura II will begin to make changes to all business models, operations & services at airports, to employee work patterns, in order to make the business ecosystem more integrated and connected.

Muhammad Awaluddin said that the business model [Business Model] will be developed so that it is able to adapt to any condition, then innovation will be emphasized in airport operations and services [Innovation Model], as well as increased human resource capacity to maintain business growth and continuity [Growth Model].

"The three things are harmonized, so that the concept that PT Angkasa Pura II is implementing in 2021 in Transformation 2.0 is the Link The BIG [Business, Innovation, Growth] Model," said Muhammad Awaluddin.


Soekarno-Hatta Airport as a pilot project

As for undergoing Transformation 1.0 and Transformation 2.0 especially related to the Infrastructure & Operation System, PT Angkasa Pura II has appointed Soekarno-Hatta Airport to become a pilot project.

Throughout this transformation journey, Soekarno-Hatta Airport has undergone the application of a Smart Airport Concept, Airport Digital Journey Experience, Airport Operation Control Center, and in the future it will be equipped with Robotic Airport Services, Electric / Manless Transportation, Airport Platform Integrator, and so on.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport will also be more modern with the construction of Terminal 4 which leads to advanced technology with the concept of smart environment, smart mobility and smart security," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
